Ekomuseum

The Ekomuseum is not a museum that fits within four walls. The museum takes you on a journey through the time of the iron ore mining in the area Bergslagen and includes a total of 50 sites. These range from underground mines, old mines, smelting furnaces, miners houses the workshop of the blacksmith himself! Jobsbo Vandrarhem is the center of this area.

Within a short distance, you will find the mining towns Furbo and Stimmerbo. With old farms, a mill and foundry from the 16th century.

A walk of 4 km at Schisshyttan gives a nice impression of the former iron mining. This runs along ruins, old workers, dams and the stately mansion.
