On a 5 minutes drive you find the local ski and snowboard slope of Smedjebacken with a ski lift and two runs.

More challenging is Romme Alpin. A popular ski resort on a 25 minutes drive with 23 runs and 6 lifts. You enter a ski and snowboard village with two restaurants, equipment shops, a ski school, and hire of equipment. It's possible to take ski lessons in English.
