Walking

From our hostel you can start your hike walking trough picturesque villages, forests and experience Swedish nature. From the tower on Uvberget there is a wonderful view over the lakes and spectacular hill scenery.

Smedjebacken is situated in the Bergslagen area where the extraction of iron played a major role in Sweden's industrial history. Walking in this area gives you an opportunity to discover how iron shaped Bergslagen. See also attractions.

The Malingsbo-Kloten nature reserve is located nearby with its 50,000 hectares; it is a hiking paradise. There are several hiking trails, but you can also find your own path. It may also be explored with a guide.
